Cédric da Silva is a filmmaker, executive producer, and cinematographer whose work spans cinematic storytelling, commercial production, photography, and large-scale live broadcast.
Raised between Brazil, Canada, and the United States, Cédric developed an early fascination with storytelling through writing, poetry, photography, and film. His creative perspective was shaped in part by the artists he encountered growing up in Brazil, where resourcefulness and imagination often transformed limited means into deeply expressive work.
He earned a BFA in Film and Digital Media with a concentration in production from the University of California, Santa Cruz. His early career took him across documentary, music, commercial, and live production, eventually serving as Director of Photography and Lead Producer at Gadgetbox Studios. There, he led cinematography and production across music videos, branded content, and cinematic multicamera concert broadcasts.
His career subsequently expanded across commercial production, broadcast television, live events, and technical production. He has produced, directed, shot, edited, and managed productions across studio, location, live, and hybrid environments, working with clients and organizations including Nike, Cisco, Sling TV, NHS Inc., and the Dance of the Deer Foundation.
At Apple, Cédric collaborated with engineers and designers developing new tools for professional filmmakers. He conceptualized, wrote, produced, directed, shot, and edited polished internal films designed to demonstrate emerging video technologies and creative workflows.
Most recently, as an Executive Producer at Meta, Cédric led end-to-end production across high-profile filmed, live, studio, and multicamera projects. His work included productions involving senior executives such as Mark Zuckerberg and Alexandr Wang, requiring close collaboration across executive stakeholders, creative teams, engineers, producers, and technical crews. His role bridged creative development, cinematography, broadcast technology, production strategy, and live execution, taking projects from initial concept and stakeholder alignment through production and final delivery.
Across his career, Cédric has developed an unusually multidisciplinary approach to production, combining the creative instincts of a filmmaker and cinematographer with the technical fluency and organizational leadership required to execute complex productions.
Whether directing behind the monitor, operating behind the camera, developing a concept, or leading a large production, his work remains rooted in the same idea that first drew him to filmmaking: finding the image, moment, or perspective that makes a story worth remembering.
